The purpose is to check defined functions, record observable issues and support an informed release decision.

Clear test boundaries
The test environment, software version, functions, devices, browsers, data and acceptance criteria are agreed in advance. Testing can reduce the likelihood of defects but cannot establish that software will be error-free in every possible environment or use case.
Security testing, penetration testing, regulatory validation and independent certification are not included unless expressly stated and may require an appropriate specialist provider.
Commercial model
Testing is charged as a fixed package for documented coverage or according to agreed time-based rates. Additional test cycles, environments or scope changes are quoted separately.
