What we deliver

01

Bespoke business software

Custom software designed for a specific workflow, service or operational requirement. This may include internal systems, workflow tools, dashboards, data-management applications and other purpose-built platforms.

02

Web applications and portals

Browser-based applications for employees, customers, suppliers or other authorised users. We can develop user interfaces, administrative tools, account areas and the supporting application logic.

03

Connected systems

APIs and integrations that allow approved systems to exchange data and reduce unnecessary manual processing. Integration work is defined around the client's existing systems, access rights and technical documentation.

04

Ongoing software support

Post-launch maintenance, fault investigation, updates and agreed development work. Support is provided under a defined scope, response arrangement and fee structure.

A CONTROLLED DELIVERY PATH

From requirement to working software

01

1. Understand

We begin by identifying the business problem, intended users, required functions, existing systems, delivery constraints and expected outcomes.

02

2. Define

We document the proposed scope, responsibilities, delivery stages, assumptions, fees and acceptance criteria before development begins.

03

3. Build

The software is designed and developed in agreed stages. Where appropriate, review versions are provided so that progress can be assessed before final release.

04

4. Test and release

We test the agreed functions, address identified defects and support deployment to the approved environment. Handover materials are supplied where included in the project scope.

05

5. Maintain

Clients can commission ongoing maintenance, monitoring, updates or further development after launch. These services are agreed separately or included in a continuing support plan.

PURPOSE-BUILT SOFTWARE

Built for the way your organisation operates

Off-the-shelf software does not always match a company's processes, reporting needs or customer journey. We develop software where a defined business requirement calls for a tailored system, a new digital service or a controlled connection between existing platforms.

Typical requirements may include:

  • replacing spreadsheet-led or repetitive processes;
  • creating a secure portal for authorised users;
  • developing a new online service or internal application;
  • connecting separate business systems through APIs;
  • improving or extending an existing software product;
  • investigating defects, performance issues or technical debt; and
  • providing continuing technical maintenance after launch.

Every engagement is assessed individually. We do not represent that one technical approach is suitable for every organisation.

HOW WE DELIVER

Defined software delivery, from first requirement to continuing support

Every engagement is scoped in writing, delivered in agreed stages and supported under clear terms.

START WITH THE OUTCOME

Start with the outcome

Different software projects often begin with the same practical need: a process must become clearer, faster or easier to control.

01

Replace repetitive manual work

Turn an agreed paper, email or spreadsheet-led workflow into a structured application with defined steps, permissions and records.

02

Give users secure online access

Create an account area or portal where authorised employees, customers or suppliers can complete specific tasks and access permitted information.

03

Connect separate systems

Enable approved platforms to exchange defined data through APIs or other documented integration methods, reducing avoidable duplicate entry.

CONNECTED DELIVERY

One requirement. A connected delivery path.

Software delivery involves more than writing code. Each stage should support the next so that the final application remains connected to the original business requirement.

01

Business need

Define the process, users, expected outcome and reason for the project.

Flows to: Scope and priorities

02

Scope and priorities

Separate essential functions from optional improvements, identify dependencies and agree how completion will be assessed.

Flows to: Design and development

03

Design and development

Plan the user experience, application logic, data handling and technical structure, then build the agreed functions in controlled stages.

Flows to: Testing and release

04

Testing and release

Check the software against documented requirements, address in-scope defects and prepare the approved version for deployment.

Flows to: Support and improvement

05

Support and improvement

Maintain the agreed system, investigate reported issues and commission further changes when the business requirement evolves.

Discovery and technical assessment

For requirements that are not yet ready for development. We examine the workflow, users, existing systems, dependencies and delivery options, then document a practical next step.

Purchased as: A defined paid discovery or assessment package.

Build

Design, development and release

For projects with an agreed objective and scope. We design, develop, test and support release of the specified software or integration.

Purchased as: A fixed project, milestone-based engagement or agreed time-based development work.

Continue

Maintenance and planned improvements

For supported software that needs continuing technical attention after release. We investigate issues, maintain agreed components and deliver authorised improvements.

Purchased as: A recurring support plan, prepaid technical allocation or separately approved work.

DMA CAPITALS SOLUTIONS

Clear at every stage

Scope

What is included, what is excluded and what each party is expected to provide.

Cost

How fees are calculated, when invoices are issued and which external costs are separate.

Progress

What is being worked on, what requires review and which decisions affect delivery.

Acceptance

How the agreed functions will be checked and how completion will be confirmed.

Ownership

How project materials, custom work, reusable components and third-party software are treated under the contract.

Next step

What happens after each stage, whether that is further discovery, development, release or continuing support.

DMA CAPITALS SOLUTIONS

Technical decisions with a business reason

Appropriate, not excessive

The proposed solution should reflect the actual requirement, expected use and practical constraints. Additional complexity must have a defined purpose.

Designed for authorised access

User roles, permissions and access requirements are considered as part of the application scope rather than left undefined.

Built for controlled change

Requirements can evolve. Changes are assessed for their effect on cost, timing and system behaviour before they are added to the work.

Ready for responsible handover

Deployment responsibilities, access arrangements and documentation are identified before release so that the operational position is clear.

PROJECT DEFINITION

Before development begins

The five questions that shape the project

Answering these questions early creates a more reliable basis for scope, cost and delivery planning.

01

What must change? The process, limitation or opportunity the software needs to address.

02

Who will use it? The user groups, access levels and tasks they need to complete.

03

What must it connect to? Existing systems, data sources, services or third-party platforms.

04

What does completion mean? The functions, outputs and acceptance criteria that define the agreed result.

05

Who manages it after release? The responsibilities for hosting, access, maintenance, support and future changes.

TRANSPARENT ENGAGEMENT

Clear commercial arrangements

DMA Capitals Solutions earns revenue by charging clients for software development and related technical services.

Depending on the work, charges may be structured as:

  • a fixed project fee for an agreed scope and set of deliverables;
  • time-based fees for discovery, development, testing or specialist technical work;
  • milestone payments linked to agreed delivery stages;
  • a recurring support or maintenance fee for continuing services; or
  • an agreed recurring service charge where DMA Capitals Solutions operates or supports a hosted software service for the client.

The applicable scope, price, payment schedule and responsibilities are set out in a written proposal, statement of work or service agreement before chargeable work begins. Third-party costs, such as cloud hosting, software licences or external platform fees, are identified separately where applicable.

What we need to prepare a proposal

To assess a project, it is helpful to know:

  • the business process or problem to be addressed;
  • who will use the software;
  • the essential features and desired outcomes;
  • whether the software must connect with existing systems;
  • any security, data-handling or regulatory requirements;
  • the preferred delivery timeframe; and
  • the available budget range, where known.

We use this information to determine whether the requirement is within our capabilities and to prepare an appropriate scope.

A practical first conversation

You do not need to prepare a full technical specification before contacting us. A useful starting point is a short explanation of the business need, the people who will use the software and the result you want to achieve.

After reviewing the enquiry, we may:

  • request further information;
  • recommend a discovery or technical-assessment stage;
  • confirm that the requirement is ready for a development proposal; or
  • explain that the work falls outside our service scope.

This initial review helps establish whether there is a suitable basis for an engagement. It is not a commitment by either party to proceed.
